Health Services in Rhodes

There is a public general hospital in Rhodes (http://www.rhodes-hospital.gr/ ) located less than 3km from the conference venue.

KR2020/DL2020 Policy

  • Instructions for social distancing will be provided for queuing up at the registration desk, entering and exiting lecture rooms, coffee breaks, and poster sessions.
  • Lecture rooms for KR2020, DL2020, and NRM2020 are large enough to accommodate all expected participants while comfortably observing social-distancing regulations. Chairs will be arranged to comply with physical distancing rules, or in case of fixed seats, the seats will be marked to ensure distancing.
  • Hand sanitizers will be available outside lecture rooms.
  • The conference dinner and welcome reception are planned to be held outdoors. If transport to the conference dinner/reception is needed, social distancing will be observed.

Venue Policy (Rodos Palace)

Given the current concerns related to the COVID-19 effects, Rodos Palace Hotel has taken a series of responsible actions to increase its facilities' safety and health standards and to ensure the health and well-being of its guests, employees, and community.

As we welcome you back, based on the guidance received and the general state of readiness, we are committed to providing everyone with a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols for working to defeat COVID-19. We have established a policy that – along with high standard sanitation protocols, safety methods and operation procedures – ensures exceptional accommodation experiences and the well-being of our guests during their stay with us.

Guidelines in our Anticovid-19 Policy

  • Full operation under the rules and guidelines of the obtained “Health First” Certification.
  • Training for all our team members
  • Clearly established time-schedule for cleaning and disinfection in all areas.
  • Conspicuous placement of hand sanitizers.
  • Temperature check upon entrance in the Hotel.
  • Frequent cleaning and wash down of outdoor and high touch locations, including walkways, staircase, elevators, toilets, handrails, lobby furniture.
  • Immediate response to off-cycle cleaning issues.
  • We apply the guideline of World Health Organization and the Greek Authorities, under a thorough manner to our services and operational procedures.
  • Everyone is advised to keep two (2) meters distance from any other person next in line while approaching any indoors help-desk (reception, bar, buffet, other services).
  • We encourage our visitors to get in touch with the Chief Health and Safety Officer of our team for further information and advises.
  • We apply an all-around fully sanitation timetable and retain records for that.
  • Development of “Private Check In”, under the essential safety guidelines.
  • The maximum use of elevators is adjusted to 3 adults, and of the use of a face mask.

Our Team

Our aim is to provide high-quality personalized services. All our team members are enthusiastic professionals at our guests’ disposal, responding promptly and effectively to their requests. We are proud of our teams who under unprecedented circumstances show a very high level of self, social, as well as professional responsibility. In addition to their immediate compliance with strict hygiene, operational, communication, and coordination rules, they are exemplary hosts. For our team members who join the daily shifts we have taken the following actions:

  • Restrictions for a limited number of people in the workplace are respected.
  • We have provided everyone with all recommended protective equipment. (staff Training and daily controls take place)
  • Everyone follows strictly the cleaning, sanitation and disinfection protocols
  • We continue to regularly disinfect work surfaces, as well as public and back-office areas.
  • Measures to limit social hubs and keep a safe distance between team members (at least 1,5 meters).

Restaurants & Bars

All the meals including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, will be taking place in the exterior area of our “12 Nissia Restaurant”, with the space capacity reduced by 50%. The spaces are arranged accordingly, in order to meet the new required distances, as well as Breakfast Buffet, so all the delicacies are served without the use of shared utensils (tongs).

All packaging is for one-off use, ecological and the utensils used, meet the hygiene standards for the indicated temperatures. Serving areas are also extended for not affecting the service quality.

Upon entrance and leaving the restaurant, everyone is advised to use the special hand sanitizers placed for that purpose at the entrance. A wide variety of set menu options is available.

Our guests can enjoy their drinks at the exterior areas of “Yacht Bar” in the morning and at the outdoor area of the Main Bar in the evening.

Room Service is implemented under new procedures for ordering, delivering, and collecting trays.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To prevent potential health matters derived from goods and/or services provided by third parties and consumed in-house, off-property food delivery services are prohibited.

Facilities and Activities

In compliance with the new safety measures, the following functions will not be implemented:

  • Mini Club indoor area
  • The Dome Indoor Pool

Cancellation Policy

In response to the new travel norms and challenging times, we are committed to ensuring flexibility. To this extent, guests who proceed to new reservations for any future arrival date, will be entitled to free cancellation up to 5 days prior to arrival.
